Karen O'Shell
Karen O'Shell brings 10+ years' experience providing career counseling and training in private, non-profit and educational sectors. Karen has provided one-on-one coaching and group facilitation for hundreds of clients from diverse backgrounds and fields, ranging from students to senior-level management. She has developed and delivered workshops in various adult education environments, including providing career management curriculums for six private college campuses across Ontario.
Prior to her roles assisting others in career transition, Karen brings 8+ years of experience in various HR roles, including recruitment and selection, corporate training and development, performance management and employment equity planning, in addition to managing two employment agencies. Karen holds a BA with a Psychology major, and has earned a post-graduate Career Development Practitioner (CDP) designation and recently trained as a Personality Dimensions facilitator. Karen is currently enrolled in a post-graduate diploma program in Corporate Training and Organizational Development and hopes to complete this program soon.
Aside from career counseling Karen delivers individual and group coaching on Professional Excellence. In an increasingly competitive labour market, professional excellence is imperative to help clients maintain a competitive advantage by working to their full potential. Karen will discuss a general overview of the 6 primary principles of professional excellence at the Women in Logistics' September 29th meeting.
